When Pope John Paul II died Saturday, many people at a Canandaigua nursing home came knocking one resident’s door: Fr. Ignatius Curzydlo. At 92, Father Ignatius has outlived six popes in his lifetime and met all but Pope John Paul I. He felt closet to Pope John Paul II.
