Lawmakers Study Nursing Shortage (The Ledger)


TALLAHASSEE -- Florida will need at least 8,000 new nurses next year to replace those who are quitting, moving or retiring and to accommodate the expected growth in the number of people who need nursing care in hospitals and doctors' offices. The number who will be certified to work as nurses is far less.
