interview questions
Some places ask situational questions to determine your critical thinking andprioritizing skills. Things like: there's a doctor on the phone, an irate visitor at the desk in front of you, a patient who has fallen on the floor, the supervisor wanting report etc. what would you do and in what order. Usually your knowledge base is tested thru written tests. Some ask what you think your strengths and weaknesses are. Occasionally you are asked to describe a day you are proud of and things like that.
Pediatric interview
Having just had an interview for a pediatric job, I hope I can help. They asked me what would I do if a child would not take their meds. What do I do first if child has a temp. What would I do if a dr ordered the adult dose of a med on a child, and you knew it would be harmful. Things like that. Of course, with all the regs now, the child's rights and privacy are big on the list.
