RTG Nursing
I am scanning the blogs and saw a number by KathRN who joined 8/27/08 and in no less than 2 days membership posted 7 times on RTG and her recruiter. I was interested in finding out about RTG, but I can't impress upon these "plants" what a turn off it is to use this type of practice...

To Stellar
I am sorry you found this to be such a turn off. I am getting out of traveling nusing soon since I now have a new granddaughter. I had a very hard time learning all of the ropes of traveling nursing and Cory helped me greatly and was the only recruiter that was honest to me. I am only trying to help out others. If you found this offensive, I am truly sorry. Good luck in your travels.

Thank you for correcting me. It is hard to know who are the plants. There is another blog I use that moderates and weeds them out. Best of luck with your new transition. As for needing advice. I can use all I can get. I actually did call Cory, and got a non-functional voicemail. I have been in touch with 3 agencies I settled on, Access, RN Network and Travel Nurse Solutions. Heard anything on them? I am transitioning myself. My only child has left home and I also want to do new things. I have traveled on my own through the years, here and abroad, but the travel agencies are a scary venture. Any input would be apprectiated. RTG seems like a small company out of Nebraska I believe, but I noticed their website focused on ethics in a big way and that impressed me. Was it hype? How long did you travel, etc. What were the highs and lows of your experiences? I would appreciate your advice. All Well

RTG
Laughing RTG Medical is out of Fremont, NE. They are a medium size company and you don't have to change off recruiters on every assignment. You actually talk to your recruiter about housing, travel, everything.

I did get in touch with them, and I was impressed. I spoke with Melissa and I think I may use them. Thanks

i would ask alot of questions and never tell your recruiter that you are new. they are lot like insurance people the more moeny they can save the company the bigger their bonus.

I too am with RTG, and travel with Cory. I have recently joined this site and have mentioned RTG and Cory probably 4 times. Hey, when you ask for input, no offence, that is what you get. I have traveled sith Cory for the past 5 yrs. and I have traveled for the past 11 yrs. This in itself, should say volumes as to what I think of Cory. But, I have said it before, interview several recruiters to find your match. Your recruiter is your lifeline. Good luck!
