Any Experience with PPR Travel ?
Anyone had any experience with PPR Travel ?
I had not worked for them before....
They couldn't get their end of the paperwork together....
Kept promising to send OSHA booklets to review for testing, but only sent
answer sheets....no booklets....
then promised to send access for me to test online for OSHA....that never
arrived....
The hospital complained that PPR hadn't sent the proper contract documents. I supplied copies from my file that I brought with me.
2 days later my contract was terminated with PPR claiming I had refused to do drug testing even though I had a receipt for it....when I pointed this out, they changed their tune and claimed I had "no clinical skills".....
seemed a bit of overkill ? No specifics, nothing in writing....for all I know the hospital cancelled me for no call/no show after the agency told me to not report for any further shifts.
I was going to mention this on another RN forum, but was denied the opportunity to post anything at all....it seems PPR is an advertiser on that forum.
Any ideas how to handle such a situation ????

In response to your question about PPR, I find it so interesting that people have so many different experiences with these travel companies. I recently finished a job in Washington state and the fellow who took over my evening slot said really good things about PPR, even though he wasn't still with them for the current assignment.
I have sure learned a lot each time I take a travel assignment. A big lesson I just learned is about being sick...I found myself in the hospital in the last week of my assignment. The company immediately withdrew $18/hour for my time missed and then refunded only $11/hour of that money when I made up the days. Shees! It pays to look at the contract and either negotiate or get a different company. Good luck! KarenS
