Im in same position as you on the whole Dubai thing. Have you found out anything more? If so please pass this way! Joined this forum today in hope of more answers. Moving to WEllington, NZ next month for 6-12 months...once finished there I hope to go straight to Dubai.

Decided against saudi. They still have places called chop chop square where beheadings take place every friday! However, joined another agency based in new zeland called geneva health, who have places in dubai and abu dhabi. They sent me info on 3 hospitals out there which seem too good to be true.... Just waiting for them to send me a list of vacancies now. Funny you should mention tonix- was only looking at them last night!

Yep all set for NZ....just need a precise date! All I've been told is April sometime! Tonix were good to begin with but now they seem to be slowing up! Just need that date!

Yes am going on own...leaving boyfriend for a bit but he may be coming over too in August. But its a big if! Depends on his job. Sore subject.

I'll be going on my own. No one wants to go with me!! I think I am ready now. It's ben a pipe dream for so long, can't believe that its finally happening! Keep getting bouts of nerves, but need to be realistic. I'm 27 and a half now and need to get meself sorted! What kind of nursing will you be doing in nz? Spoke to a tonix person yesterday, and as appealing as nz sounds, think i'm going to stick with the middle east for the money. Pure greed! Hope the boyfriend scenario works out for you...

Tonix is driving me mad...all they tell me is they can get me to Wellington April sometime. No precise date. I've had the interview yet they say they need to do another one. I'm becoming more and more irritated! I've paid 300 quid in total for registration, visa, bank account etc and am wondering whether or not just to sack it off and go to Dubai. I'd make the money back instantly.
With Dubai, I've read that you have to do a minimum 2year working contract. Is that right?

Got an interview by 'phone tomorrow morning at 11.30am for sheik khalifa medical centre in abu dhabi. so so nervous!! It's for a charge nurse post for a cardiology ward. only ever done cardiac work, so hoping they fall for my blag and i get it!! i used geneva health care agency, who are also based in new zealand. contacted a girl called kerry who is so helpful. only got in touch with them 2 weeks ago and it's all happening so quick with her. her e-mail is [email protected]
most places is a 2 year contract. the one i'm going for is 2 years. but 6 month and 12 month contracts are also available, but not so frequently.
Do Dubai!! The money is so much better over there. and it's gorgeous out there. x

I've emailed Kerry and she's already replied..theres a post going at the American Hospital in Dubai for ortho scrub nurse. Takes 3months for everything to come together she says...hmmm do i do it now?!! Or do I stick with original plan and head to NZ and then do Dubai?! Oh what to do!
I'm just losing the will to live with Tonix. My plan is to travel after NZ (pacific, south america) ...now I might add Dubai onto that.

I go to Wellington in 4 weeks argh! Got that start date. Finally! But defo gonna hit the middle east in a year. So you'll have to let me know how it is!
