2 New travelers, Housing Together
I am thinking about starting my first assignment in Oct/Nov as an ER traveler RN. My boyfriend and I are both going to travel together, he is an ER RN as well. We are in the process of choosing a company. The recruiter we like the best has told us that she can give one of us the "free housing" and give the other one of us the stipend. The "free housing" is a 1BR apt, but we want a 2BR apt. She said we could pay "a little extra" for that. Is this something that's negotiable usually? My boyfriend seems to think we can get it at no cost with the right negotiating. What's your thought?
It is definitely negotiable! You are doing the agency a favor by filling 2 positions in the same facility, needing only one apartment. The apartments provided for me as a single were both 2 bedroom, the last one was furnished.
