absolutely horrible
We wished we had been warned about this truly horrible agency before we took an assignment with them. They owe us money. They must have caller ID because every time we called them on our cell phones- the phone would be picked up, but then immediately hung up. I stood at a pay phone and called them on my cell-was hung up on. Then immediately called them on the pay phone and they answered and spoke with me. I used a fake name and they had no problems with their phone.. I tried this several times on different days and it was the same every time. They are very adept at avoiding phone calls.

owed money
If you cant get your agency on the phone and they owe you money, sue them. You can go to small claims court--amount related-- and fill out papers to sue them. The court in your city will take responsibiliity to serve that company with papers on the law suit. Find out if their are others, you may be able to get a class action and a lawyer. I had a company once that bounced my last pay check. I sued them in small claims court. The court served the company. The heairing was to take place in my city since I filed the suit. I asked for money for my bounced checks, repeated phone calls, money for my time trying to get them to pay me, general harrassment and anything else I could think of. Because their company lawyer would have had to drive to another city to appear in court, the night before the case they agreed to pay me. I requested a cashiers check to be delivered to me that night. They hired a courier to deliver my check and agreed to pay for my bounced checks and court cost. If you do not sue them, they will keep doing it to other nurses. You have your time slips, bank records, old check stubs, you can prove you werent paid and win. GO FOR IT.

Thanks for the advice. We filed with the CA wage/labor people-but due to a major screwup on their part- the DA-not district attorney! that was handling our file-put a wrong amount on his original report and by the time we had it corrected and blah blah blah-two more months had passed. The hearing was to be held in CA-about 3 weeks after we had left the state for other contracts. But every chance we get to tell the truth about this horrible agency and its employees-we do. I tell every traveler I meet and all of our old friends as does my spouse. I am a firm believer in what goes around -comes around. Thanks for your response-we may look into it.

Absolute Nursing are thieves
I agree please read my story below. We just got done dealing with them. We all need to do whatever it takes to make sure these guys pay for their dishonesty! Please contact me if you want. I am interested in taking these guys to court also.

I am here to tell anyone who is or even thinking about working for a company out of Cincinatti, Ohio called Absolute Nursing to immediately quit or go with another company. We worked 2 assignments with them. We gave them another chance and we should not have. They owe my roomate and myself $1700 +. They did not adhere to their contract with us. We had to sign a self lease in Florida that was 7 months, we were only contracted for 3 months. It was in our contract with them that they would then take over our lease or put another nurse in the apartment for the remainder of the lease. At the end of the assignment they did not do this. They refused to even after various attempts. We had to pay the early termination fee or be sent to the credit bureau. I am not a fool, I would not have signed a lease if it wasn't in the CONTRACT that they would take over the lease. I have emails from John Raab, who is in charge of housing for them. He says numerous times they will take our lease over and not to worry about it. It DID NOT HAPPEN, THEY LIED. They continually said they would pay the fee, but NO WAY. They only care about themselves. Even after we sent our copies of our contracts in: they were to have the original copies but said they could not find them because the employee who wrote that contract up had left. They also said that they did not have the power to even write that in the contract. Funny, but shouldn't they owners of a SMALL company give final approval. These guys are thieves, do not believe them. 2 nurses who were assignment at the same hospital quit them. I know 2-3 others who were also considering ending their contracts early with them. They do not pay electric or rent on time, EVER. We had several eviction notices and had our power shut off 2 times in florida and once in Cincinatti. They tell you what you want to hear, just so they can make a buck. I could go on and on, but seriously DO NOT TRUST THEM, DO NOT GO WITH THEM. I am not into company bashing, but when people are purposely deceitful it burns me. These are those types of people, everyone of them I talked to personally has the same mindset, its not about the nurse it is about them. We are currently seeking legal advice on this matter. Thank you and please take the above seriously, they will cheat you anyway they can. Please pass this on to anyone you know who is or thinking about travelling. Take care and good luck on your travels!
