temp. travel due to hurricane katrina
I am considereing a temporary travel nurse assignment due to temporarily (I hope) losing my job because of hurricane katrina. I have previous experience as a psychiatric nurse/lpn instructor/floor nurse. I live in Slidell, La. (currently residing in Baton Rouge with family), which is on the Northshore of New Orleans, which was hit hard by Hurricane Katrina. According to Slidell city officials, the city will be inaccessible for approx. 6 to 8 weeks or longer. I have a degree in another field, but have always kept current in nursing. I have received e-mail notifications regarding 4 -13 week perdiem jobs at access nurses. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
