Will knowing Spanish help me make more money?
I unfortunately took French in high school and college. I say unfortunately because I haven't really used it. I wonder if I should study Spanish, first because it would be a valuable asset in California. But I wonder if it will help me make more money as a nurse.
Spanish travel nurse, NO compensation for translating
I am bilingual, spanish, and I am used consistently where I work even though the hospital I am currently on assignment has an ATT operator that is available for translating services. The hospital pays for these services and I don't get paid for this. AND I AM in California. You would be surprised how many people don't know a lick of english. IT is VERY frustrating. If you hear of an agency that compensates for a bilingual speaking nurse, let me know. American Mobile does not. I asked.
