Some might dismiss Dove Healthcare CEO Jim Deignan's opposition to a new $20 million nursing home for veterans in Chippewa Falls as nothing more than an effort to limit competition. After all, Dove has 345 nursing home beds at its area centers, and he said last week that about 75 aren't filled on average at any given time.
