March 13 (Bloomberg) -- Pope John Paul II spoke to a crowd of pilgrims below his Rome hospital window in his first live public remarks since he underwent a tracheotomy on Feb. 24. He is set to leave the hospital this evening, Ansa news agency reported, citing comments from a Vatican spokesman.
