At age 89, nursing home industry pioneer Rita Welch of Duxbury has written her memoir, “Hand in Hand,” part family saga and part business chronicle. Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group, with 16 seniors enterprises, began in 1949 when Welch and her late husband, Frank, began caring for two older people in their Braintree home.
