California nursing board seeks to triple enforcement staff


The board today issued an 11-page report with recommendations for improving the 'unacceptably long' process of disciplining nurses accused of malfeasance. Managers of the California Board of Registered Nursing are seeking permission to triple the size of their enforcement staff and immediately boost licensing fees to act more quickly against errant nurses who potentially pose a danger to patients.
