Coalition urges new funding to fill Texas nursing shortage


The Texas Nursing Workforce Shortage Coalition, a group of more than 100 organizations dedicated to addressing the state 's nursing shortage, has requested $60 million in special-item funding from the state Legislature to train a new generation of registered nurses.
