Director of nursing home gets 3.5 years in prison over fire


KRASNODAR. Feb 17 (Interfax) - The court of the city of Yeisk, Krasnodar Territory, on Tuesday sentenced the director of the nursing home, where 63 people died and some 30 were injured in a fire, to 3.5 years in a penal colony for violations of the fire safety regulations resulting in the death of two or more people (a crime enshrined by Article 219 of the Russian Criminal Code).
