Ex-nurse rejects manslaughter deal (The Charlotte Observer)
Sally Jordan Hill, the former nurse anesthetist accused of killing a cosmetic surgery patient in 2001, rejected a deal from prosecutors and pleaded not guilty Thursday to first-degree murder. Prosecutors had offered to let Hill plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter, a crime punishable by as little as 10 months in prison, even probation.
