One dead after fire in nursing home in Ottawa (CNews)


OTTAWA - One man is dead following a fire Thursday morning at a nursing home in east-end Ottawa. Several other residents were treated for smoke inhalation. Firefighters were called to the Rothwell Heights Terrace just after 10 a.m. and arrived to see thick smoke billowing out of the building.
