LOOKING FOR LONG LOST MOTHER - NURSE MARGARET ANN GODFREY
My husband is trying to trace his mother who worked in Barking Hospital Essex in the late 60's.

He was adopted in 1968. Margaret was a nurse at that time and was 28 years of age and a devout catholic and because of being unarried had to give him over to save her embarressment to her family.

It would be nice to know how she got on and whether she is still alive.

Did anyone work with her or know of her. My husband is 38 this year so it would make her approx 66 years of age.

My husband would love to know about his mothers side - was there illnesses that are passed on through her genes etc? Is asthma in her family as he suffers with it himself.

Can anyone help - even if we never meet her - at least we shall know what she was like as a person.

Thank you

Diane

Do you know what state she last had her nursing license? If so you should be able to go to the nursing board for that state and do a license verification. I hope this helps
