Murphy seeks funds for nursing programs (The News-Times)


DANBURY -- Financial assistance for nursing students and programs would go a long way to help fill a shortage of nurses in the state, according to Karen Crouse, chair of the nursing department at Western Connecticut State University.U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy, D-5th District, said Monday he hopes to get $185,000 in federal money for the state's university system to do just that.
