BY JAMIE C. RUFF Times-Dispatch Staff Writer The nurse accused of aiding the escape attempt of a Powhatan County murder suspect faces a misdemeanor charge and has been fired from her job. Powhatan Sheriff Greg Neal said that on July 30, the nurse -- 38-year-old Karen N. Peregoy of Goochland County -- was arrested and charged with aiding the attempted escape of Joseph "Joey" Parrish.
