Empty nursing posts put pressure on wards (The Herald)


MORE than 1500 nursing positions in the Scottish health service are vacant, piling pressure on nurses coping with staff shortages. Figures obtained by The Herald reveal that the number of vacancies for qualified nurses and midwives reached a record high of 1633 in March last year.
