Mary Pat Rowland: Companion now safe with mother in nursing


I'm sleeping a lot more soundly lately because two people I love dearly are no longer in danger. My 88-year-old mother, whom we affectionately call Hunna, and her 76-year-old significant other, are both safe in a local nursing home.
