A fire in a nursing home near East Point sent four elderly people to hospitals for treatment of smoke inhalation Wednesday afternoon. Another five or six were being evaluated at the scene, officials said. The fire started in a room on the 7th floor of the nine-story Lakewood Christian Manor on Springdale Road, emergency officials said.
