New Path... I think?
Hi I just joined this forum specifically to ask about my decision for how to go about my career path. I know I want to be a nurse, I've always known that. I spent 3 semesters at the University of Louisville and I just didn't like it. I don't think I'm the university type.

My plan right now is to go to a community/technical college that would allow me to stay living at home (in northern kentucky) and work part or full time. I'm planning on going into a nursing program that would leave me with my associates degree in nursing. From there, I plan on getting my BSN through Northern Kentucky University through online courses. This way, I'd have my bachelors from a real university, and would be able to persue further education/specialization in pediatrics.

My question is... Does this sound like a decent plan? I'm 20, and I've already tried the big university and I really think that setting isn't right for me. I think the community college setting with one class a month and smaller classes would be a better place for me, and I think the online BSN courses will be fine because I'm a very smart person.

Anyone with input?
