The Cornhusker Regional Chapter of the Red Cross was awarded the first American Red Cross Susan Hassmiller Nursing Award. The award is named in honor of Susan Hassmiller, a nationally recognized leader in nursing and former volunteer for the Red Cross in Lincoln.
