Medicare has started noting the most problem-ridden nursing homes on its website, the federal agency announced Thursday. Consumers comparing nursing homes at medicare.gov will see a footnote if the location is a Special Focus Facility, a place with long-standing quality of care problems that federal investigators visit twice as frequently as other nursing homes.
