I WAS hot, uncomfortable and bleary. I wanted to go home, but had to stay in hospital for a couple more days, to recover from the thyroidectomy I'd had. So there was not much to do but endure reality. And then the kindest thing happened. Nurse Boado, who was in charge of me, asked me if I'd like a shampoo. I said I'd love one.
