Racial gap grows at nursing homes (Orlando Sentinel)


There are things Ronald Mitchell doesn't like about the Guardian Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Orlando: bland food, small rooms, a roommate who can't talk and watches TV all day. But he prefers the nursing home to staying with his son, who lives a few blocks away in the house Ronald owned when he worked as a probation counselor for Orange County .
