Gridlock cancels surgery at Christchurch Hospital (Stuff)


Christchurch Hospital is cancelling elective surgery as it tries to manage a dramatic, unexpected surge in demand. The hospital was in extreme gridlock yesterday, hitting the rare "orange" alert in a signal system graded green, yellow and orange.
