An elderly man is hospitalized after suffering major burns during a fire at a Jamaica Plain nursing home. It happened at the Mount Pleasant Nursing Home on South Huntington Avenue. Officials say the fire was mostly contained to one room. The sprinkler system was activated and helped put out the flames. Many residents were evacuated, but have since returned to their rooms.
