Westerly Woman Sent to Jail for Stealing From Nursing Home


Penny Sherman of Westerly was sentenced to 90 days in prison today for stealing $93,000 from the Pendleton nursing home to support a gambling habit. Sherman had collected overtime pay for hours that she had not actually worked, according to the state.
