One hospitalized after nursing home fire (Miami Herald)


A fire that broke out Sunday night in a North Miami facility for the elderly sent one resident to the hospital. Ten Miami-Dade Fire Rescue vehicles were dispatched to the 10 p.m. fire at the Berkshire Manor Nursing Home, 1255 NE 135th St., and quickly put out the flames that engulfed one room on the first floor of the facility.
