Nursing home industry still segregated, new report says (US


Blacks are more likely to end up in nursing homes that provide poor quality care in many major U.S. cities, a new report suggests. The study, out in the September/October issue of Health Affairs, says that 60% of blacks in nursing homes were concentrated in less than 10% of facilities typically ones that had been cited for providing substandard care.
