News & Notes , May 28, 2007 · Retired Brig. Gen. Rosetta Burke dreamed of becoming a nurse when she was a child. So she joined the Army Reserves to finance her way through nursing school. Three decades later she became the first female Assistant Adjutant Gen. of the Army National Guard.
