delegated task effecting the patient
im studying for PCA, assistant to the RN. ok, what is the procedure if you are delegated a task to preform and you , as the PCA realize you want to refuse, lets say the patients condition has changed. the nurse may insist you go ahead (or doctor asking a nurse to continue)
can you go to that persons superior to discuss your feelings , for the benefit of the patient.
i realize most nurses are great people and probably wont ignore or insist something be done despite a co workers objections.
it is ok to object to do something if you feel like that task would do harm cuz the patients condition had changed?
thanx for helping me learn the ropes.
