Acute shortage of nursing staff in Karnataka govt hospitals


Around 77 per cent of the posts of nursing staff in the 21 government hospitals in Karnataka are lying vacant, thanks to the decade-old government ban on new recruitments, non-availability of quality nursing graduates and the flow of new nursing graduates to the more lucrative private hospitals.
