Nursing home charges dropped (New Orleans Times-Picayune)


In a move heralded as a success by the defense but described as routine by the prosecution, the state has dropped 36 counts of cruelty to the infirm against the owners of a St. Bernard Parish nursing home where 35 people died during Hurricane Katrina.
