An ordinance that would place a cap on the number of acute-care hospital beds in the county, paving the way for a group of doctors to start a private, for-profit hospital in the 2800 block of Charlestown Road, was preliminarily denied at Tuesday's meeting of the Floyd County Commissioners, although the issue is required by state law to be revisited at least two more times.
