A nurse pleaded guilty Thursday to switching out painkillers meant for nursing home patients to keep for himself, the U.S. Attorney's office said. Michael Paul Smith, 40, of Falmouth, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to tampering with consumer products and health care fraud.
