Hospital gets OK to accept Medicare (Houston Chronicle)


University General Hospital has taken a step in its drive to win reimbursement from large health care plans. The physician-owned hospital, which opened last October near the Medical Center area, said Tuesday it is authorized to treat and bill for Medicare patients.
