Recovery funds for hospital halted (The Advocate)


Lawmakers have derailed a plan to spend $300 million in federal recovery money on construction of a new LSU teaching hospital in New Orleans. A majority of the Louisiana Senate backed the spending plan in mail balloting. But the House fell three votes sort, legislative leaders said Friday.
