DANVILLE – The Vermilion Manor Nursing Home has posted a $1.1 million operating loss since 2005, but some county officials hope the nursing home can repay an $880,000 loan to the county ahead of schedule. Last year, the county extended a $1.5 million line of credit to the county-owned facility on Catlin-Tilton Road to help cover expenses the nursing home could not meet.
