Hospital group backs universal care (Daily Southtown)


The Illinois Hospital Association's board voted Friday to endorse a plan for universal health coverage in the state. The organization, which represents the interests of 200 hospitals, initially was cool to the coercive approach that ended up central to the ambitious and expensive proposal.
