Schmidt Foundation Gives $75 Million for New Florida Hospit


Jan. 30 (Bloomberg) -- The Schmidt family made its fortune in a mail-order tractor-parts business in the 1930s, and later, in banking. The Schmidts also have been active in numerous charities in Florida, and today donated $75 million to create a new teaching hospital in Boca Raton.
