NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Bert Fish Medical Center lost money in December, but the good news is it was not as much as anticipated, hospital officials said. Administrators budgeted the medical center would lose more than $207,400; however when the books were tallied, the red ink totaled only $174,000.
