Parkway Hospital Inc. is taking legal action to stop New York State from going ahead with plans to shut it down. The lawsuit, filed Dec. 29 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, comes in response to recommendations by a special commission that numerous health care facilities across the state should be restructured or closed, including Parkway in New York City.
