A couch lit on fire Monday by an Oregon State Hospital patient was extinguished by Salem firefighters, said Deputy Fire Marshal Chris Riffle. At about 3:15 p.m., Salem firefighters arrived at a smoke-filled hallway on the second floor of Building 48 at the hospital, located at 2600 Center St. NE.
