Health Tip: Keep Deadly Skin Cancer Away
(HealthDay)
HealthDay - (HealthDay News) -- Melanoma is a deadly form of skin cancer. But
it can be prevented with some safe-sun practices. Follow these suggestions
from the American Cancer Society to help reduce your risk:
Keep your skin covered when outside with long sleeves, long pants and
a hat.
If you're outside for a long time, head for the shade.
Use sunscreen any time you are outside -- even if it's cloudy. Be sure
to apply it properly by following the instructions on the product.
Wear sunglasses.
Don't use tanning beds.
Look for any moles that look abnormal and have them checked by your
doctor.
