L.A. hospital closes two units after germ infects 7 childre


LOS ANGELES – Health officials are advising pregnant women to consult with their doctors before going to a hospital in East Los Angeles that closed its neonatal and pediatrics intensive care units after a potentially fatal bacterium sickened seven children, including an infant who may have died from it.
